The Key To High-Level Wellness

As much as we would all like, high level wellness doesn’t happen overnight. ⁠It takes time, energy, and persistence. However, it doesn’t mean spending hours upon hours working out. The key to success starts with eating for high-level wellness.

Eating for high-level wellness can be fun, easy and even delicious to do without being SUPER restrictive⁠ because no one likes that, am I right?! You get this chance to try and experiment with new flavors while fueling your body properly, so knowing activity levels AND goals is important to know how much to eat and of what.⁠ 

 

5 Tips for High-Level Eating

Here are a few tips…⠀

  1. EAT A VARIETY OF FRUITS & VEGGIES ⁠ — Switch things up a bit so you don’t get bored with your menu. Too often people eat the same thing over and over again and get bored. Then they fall off the health wagon. Eating a variety of fruits and veggies will keep you from getting bored as well as fuel your body with nutritious food to get your results. Aim for a fistful of veggies per meal.
  2. DRINK PLENTY OF WATER Water has numerous benefits. It provides hydration to the body which is important for digestion, bowel movements, skin complexion, reducing post-workout soreness, improving skin complexion and more. Aim for a gallon per day.
  3. CONSUME PROTEIN  Whether you eat meat or not, protein is still important. Protein aids in building muscle. Fuel your body with a variety of protein sources: eggs, meat, fish, etc. Aim for a palmful of protein per meal. 
  4. EAT MAJORITY WHOLE FOODS — Eat foods that will fuel your body rather than stuffing it with empty calories. Think of your body like a sports car. Foods function like fuel. You wouldn’t put garbage in a Ferrari so why do the to own machine?
  5. TREAT YOURSELF (WITH TREATS)⠀— You heard me right. Allow yourself to have a cheat meal (notice I didn’t say cheat day) once a week. This helps your body reset as well as allows you to enjoy.  Beware thought. If you indulge too much, you’ll erase all of your progress from that week. Remember though… moderation is key!
