Today want to take a moment to talk about Nutritional Breakdown. Nutrition is essential to a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Let me repeat that, ESSENTIAL. It is imperative you understand nutrition and its effects on our bodies. Here’s the challenge…The word nutrition gets tossed around all the time like a wet towel, but what does it mean? What actually makes up nutrition? There are FIVE key elements to understand when it comes to nutrition.

  2. Macronutrients
  3. Supplements
  4. Food Composition
  5. Nutrition Timing

CALORIES

50% A calorie measures the amount of energy in the food and beverages that we consume. We all need this energy to live and stay healthy. Everything we do relies on the energy that comes in the form of calories. Knowing how many calories you eat, helps figure out how many calories you need to burn in order to lose or gain weight.

MACRONUTRIENTS
